Swimming opportunities on Mandø

In the high season, you can take part in trips to the highlands/sand bank Koresand with the tractor bus. There is a wonderful sandy beach here, where you can swim and maybe even find amber. If you are local and have knowledge of the tides, it is also possible to swim southwest of Mandø just west of the storm surge column. The island has no definite sandy beach.
be aware If you go out for a swim or just go for a walk on the water around Mandø. Investigate in advance when the next high tide will occur and be careful not to go too far out on the water without a compass, as water or fog can quickly come.
