Statue of Bishop Hans Adolf Brorson in Ribe

August Saabye's bronze statue by Hans Adolf Brorson, 1895. Brorson was bishop in Ribe from 1741 to 1764, and has written more than 100 hymns, which can be found in the Danish hymnal. His hymn "The sweetest rose is found" is played every day at 08.00 and at 18.00 from the Civic Tower in Ribe Cathedral.
The statue has stood where Ansgar stands today since 1913, and was moved in December 2015 to its current location next to Tausen.
