In 1283, one of the Cathedral's two towers collapses, and the square Citizens' Tower is built as the city's fortress in the material and style of the time.

Ribe Domkirkes Borgertårn is a 52 m high fortress tower built together with Ribe Cathedral. Built around 1300. Access through the cathedral.

Ribe The cathedral was originally built as a 3-nave church with two identical towers. In 1283, the tower collapsed, and the square civic tower was built as the city's fortress in the materials and style of the time. The flat top of the tower was created when the spire collapsed in 1594.

Each century has left its mark on the church by building alteration or decoration; most recently with Carl-Henning Pedersen's decoration of the apse from 1982 to 1987.

Access to the church only if there are no church acts.
