Welcome to Denmark's oldest hotel in Denmark's oldest city Ribe

A charming historic hotel built in 1581 where the care of the guests is a noble brand.

Some people think that you don't know Denmark until you've spent the night at Hotel Dagmar and heard the local stories Ribe Cathedral. And there may be something to that. Not just because Ribe as Denmark's oldest city and former royal city has played a prominent role in the country's history, but also because Dagmar anno 1581 is the country's oldest hotel - and a fantastic piece of Danish hotel culture that is worth experiencing.

With its central location on Torvet in Ribe, Hotel Dagmar is an excellent starting point for a closer look at the city's history and an attraction in itself with its red walls and beautiful tiled roofs. The hotel has 2 restaurants, each with its own style and atmosphere: Restaurant Dagmar offers culinary experiences in a romantic setting. Vægterkælderen is a cozy and informal basement restaurant.

We offer a total of 54 charming and individually decorated rooms, including 48 charming double rooms, which over the years have been restored with gentle touch and respect for the old house and its genuine environment. All with showers / WC, TV and free internet.

In addition, we have 6 rooms in our annex Torvet 16. The police station was the city's first spray station, then a police station and a lawyer's office, until we open our 2017 rooms in the building in 6.
