A little about the hotel...
In western South Jutland, in the middle of Denmark's oldest city with the Cathedral as a relic, lies an old red-walled lady from 1581. Some people think that you don't know Denmark until you've spent the night at Hotel Dagmar and heard the neighborhood stories from Ribe Cathedral. And there may be something to that. Here, history, charm and gastronomy are mixed together in high quality. There is always a good atmosphere, care for the guests and traditions are highly valued by the small committed group at the hotel.
The building is listed and therefore offers an enormous amount of soul; with more than 400 years behind it, the walls and floors are crooked as the subsoil shifts – in some places it slopes as much as 70 cm! The rooms are not that big but they are intimate and cozy with lots of character. Look forward to experiencing a true time warp in the middle Ribes pedestrian street.
In addition to the fact that the hotel itself is worth a great experience, you must not miss the unique dining experiences at the hotel either. The hotel has 2 restaurants, each with its own style and atmosphere: The gourmet restaurant "Restaurant Dagmar" offers culinary experiences in a romantic setting. Vægterkælderen is a cozy and informal basement restaurant. If you want to enjoy a lunch in the sun, you can sit on the terrace outside by the Square, with a view of the Cathedral
